Gaijin lolita i Fukuoka~

Simple cute coord

This weekend is really hot! It's 30 degrees outside and the air is really humid. (  > < ) Therefore I didn't want to dress in lolita as it would have been way too hot. Instead I tried to come up with a simple but cute coord with the stuff I currently have with me. I think it turned out rather good! As I only took very limited clothes with me this time I am sometimes in trouble when choosing what to wear... soon I should get my paycheck and afford to buy some new items!
 
 
This coord mailnly consists of Milk, Emily Temple Cute and Angelic Pretty. ( ^  ^ )
Also I wanted to show my new shoes, so this time around I am wearing shoes in an outfit picture! haha
I got these for my last money since they were on 50% sale and I couldn't resist.

A Midsummer Night's Dream

Last weekend I worea simple 'a midsummer nights dream' coord. This time I didn't want to wear a wig, since it was hot outside and I was surprised that my natural hair looked okay with the bonnet. ( ^  ^ ) While I was wearing this coord I walked around the area where I live and went to the local shopping centre (again XD). There I got followed around by a creepy man, so I had to run and hide in a all-women store -  so he didn't follow me in. Luckuly he gave up after some time and I didn't see him on my way back. Sometimes there are downsides to wearing lolita ...
 
But on to the pictures!
 
No shoes as per usual, sorry. (I am not allowed to wear my shoes in the apartment and I am too lazy to bring them in,put them on,  stand on a plastic bag and then take them off again ><)
 
I think you can see the corner of the table on these pictures... whoops
 
I must say that I really like the two face-shots I took this time! (  ///   ///  )
 
This is also my second pair of new lenses. I have had this exact colour before and they were always my favourite! The green/orange on the lenses is almost excactly the same as my eyecolor, so it really looks natural when I put them on.
 

Shopping Service

So, since I am living in Japan again I thought I should start offering a shopping service again. ( ^  ^ ) I can both buy items from shops and online, also this time around I will be able to offer a shopping service for Mbok and Yahoo auctions Japan.

I am able to buy from:

lolita shops like: Angelic Pretty, Baby the Stars Shine Bright, Metamorphose etc.

gyaru shops like: Liz Lisa, Ank Rouge, Mars, Axes Femme etc.

punk/rock/fairy kei shops like: Listen Flavor, Putumayo, Milklim, Swimmer etc.

Japanese candy, snacks, makeup or any other goods you would wish to purchase are no problem!

 

The commission will be a set price:

For shopping at online stores 200kr per order.

For shopping at an actual store 200kr + transportation fee.

As bidding at auction sites takes up more time the commission will be slightly different. When bidding at Mbok or Yahoo auctions Japan the commission will be as following:

15% of the entire order for purchases below 26 000 yen

10% of the entire order for purchases over 26 000 yen

 

I will be accepting Pay Pal and bank transfer to my Swedish bank account for these ordering from Sweden. For Paypal an additional 3,6% or the order price will be charged (PayPal usage fee).

Shipping can be either EMS or Standard Airmail.

 

If you are interested in requesting my shopping service for something, feel free to contact me. If you have a link to an online store, I can order the goods for you as soon as I get the payment. In case you are looking for an item in an actual store, I will check if the item is available or not, if it is available I will purchase it and then invoice you.

Yaegaki Hime - an antique adventure

So today I went to the hospital, or 2 different hospitals in fact. Both of which were closed, so not much luck in going to see the doctor. ( > < ) At least I got a nice walk and also I went to look at some antique things in a small shop close to where I live. I had passed the shop many times but it was always closed, this time it was open and the owner was very nice. ( ^ ^ ) I looked around for a bit and found a really pretty doll. Since I don't have any money I wasnt sure if I should even ask for the price ( I thought that since the doll was pretty big, maybe 50 cm? and since it's an antique shop it was probably old and expensive), but I asked anyway. Turns out it cost 1000 yen, about 60 kr. HAHA! So I had to buy it! Since there was no price on the doll I am not sure whereas it actually cost so little or if I got myself a good deal. Anyhow, I am very happy!
 
I also did some research and found out that this type of doll is called Yaegaki Hime. This type of doll is named and modelled after Yaegaki Hime (princess Yeagaki) a character in the Japanese drama named Honcho Nijushiko - the 24 models of filial piety. The drama is a bit like Romeo and Juliet, but with a happy ending where Yaegaki Hime gets to marry her beloved one. The doll itself represents Yaegaki Hime in the moment when she is handing her husband his war helmet. It's really nice to actually know what type of doll I bought and awesome that it is not just a doll, but a doll linked with such a nice story! I learned that she is supposed to hold up the helmet after taking these photos, so sorry for the innacuracy.
She is made entirely of fabric, so the face and hands are not clay as they are in many other dolls. I got to know that she is about 30 years old and after I rescued her from lots of dust she is just perfect. <3
 
I believe that her hair and the hair on the helmet is horse hair as it does not feel synthetic.
 
There are really many details and all even the smallest parts are beautifull handicraft.

More Day Dream Carnival

Since I am too slow at updating as per usual, I will first upload the photos from last weekend and later update about this weekend. Sorry! I didn't doo too much this weekend anyway... so here are camera photos from when I wore Day Dream Carnival last Saturday. ( ^  ^ ) 3 of 4 pictures are actually just my face, so I'm sorry about that. Couldn't choose between these 3 selfies so I decided to post all of them. haha

Weekend again

The weekend has come and gone again. I must say that 2 days off from work is not enough time to get rested out, but at least I had time to dress up one day and to clean my apartment the other. 

On Saturday I dressed up and went for a walk around the city. I got me some Starbucks coffee and accently walked in to a mini-concert the group "Da Ice" was having at a shopping mall. I have never heard of this group before, but it turned out to be a boy band like many others. It was a bit fun to watch them jump and dance and when the concert was over many people turned to me for photos. I actually had my own line of people waiting for their turn to take a picture. Haha xD I thought it was a good opportunity to make friends, so I tired to talk to the people taking pictures, they were all friendly but no one said more than the basic 'hello, so cute, etc'. Well at least I tried... ( > < )

Jacket and popcorn

So... Its nearly weekend! Yaaaay!! Tomorow is the last day of work, the only bad thing is that I am going to the school far away from my apartment, so I have to leave home at 07:00. ;_____; I usually go by train and leave at 07:30, which is early but still ok. Having to be ready and out the door at 07:00 makes me sad and tired! Sighn...

Since I have very little money until my paycheck comes I have not been able to buy anything lately, but I havent shared the only thing I did buy yet. Last week I actually spent some money and bought a Liz Lisa jacket. (*^_^*) It was on a huge sale and only cost me 2000 yen. It is summer in Japan, but some days are quite chilly. Specially when it rains or in the early morning or evening, so a light jacket is still needed sometimes. ;) 


I really like this jacket actually, I think it might work with lolita too~~ (((o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o))) 

Also some time ago I ate chocolate-banana popcorn. It was really tasty! On the weekends a small popcorn stall opens near my local grocery shop and they have surprisingly many popcorn flavors! Maybe Ill try the macha popcorn next time. :P 



Weekend!

I was planning on updating about the weekend last week a long time ago, but I never had the time to do so. >< So instead of writing about this weekend I will write about last week now. 

Last week I had my friend Viktoria over from Fukuoka. (*^_^*) Both of us dont have any money right now so we didnt doo too much, but it was really fun anyway! We talked a lot, went to many shopping malls and took a walk past Kokura castle. It was really nice to go out and to actually have someone to talk to. Haha 

I have been in Kitakyushu for 3 weeks now and I still have 0 friends... It is okay while Im working since I can talk to other teachers and kids at school, but evenings and weekends are really lonely. I hope to meet some nice japanese people to hand out with soon. (＞人＜;)

Typhoon

So...It has been about 2,5 weeks since I moved to Japan. It has been a little lonely here alone, but I have also jag some fun. This week is my first working week and I must say that I am enjoying my work a lot! The children är very fun and cute and all the staff in the schools are very friendly and kind. I hope nothing changes! (*^_^*) I do get tired after a whole day of teaching, but I also look forward to the next day and next classes. 

Japan is now entering the rainy season. It has been raining every day for 3 days now and today was really windy! I wonder if it could count as a typhoon... at least I think it can. XD The weekend seems to be rain free and Im really liking worward to it. (^ー゜)

Life in Japan

So... my computer has been broken for about two weeks, therefore I couldn't update in a while. ( T___T ) At last it works again!
 
My life has been pretty hectic lately, as I moved and had to adjust to living alone and plus I had my teaching training course. Now that the course is over and I am beginning work tomorrow, which is prettyscary but also exciting. I am yet not sure what to expect, but I hope that it will be fun and educational - both for me and the kids. haha ( ^ w ^ ) I have no photos to share yet, as I have been running around the city without my camere, but hopefully I'll have something to show you guys next time.

Long time no post

So… I haven’t been active here or a while, I’m really sorry! I have so much to do at the moment that I really have no time to dress up or anything. Spread the Harajuku Hapiness

In Sweden today is Valborg - a day when families go to look at a big fire celebrating the coming of the spring and students gather in parks to drink a lot of alcohol from morning until, probably tomorrow. As I am not a party person I usually avoid going in to the city on this day, but I hope everyone else out there will have fun.

Today I thought to share a nice, happy video of the people in Harajuku as a spring celebration. ( ^  ^ ) I really enjoyed this video, as it was playful, happy and lifted my mood every time I watched it. The best thing about it is that you can see a lot of different people, not only alternative fashion fans, but also families and shop staff. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

 

A Midsummer Night's Dream - small photoshoot

When I tried on my new Midsummer Night's Dream JSK I couldn't miss the opportunity to take some pictures outside. It is still cold in Sweden but there have been some sunny, spring-like days too. I was lucky with the weather that day and even found a blooming tree! ( ^ w ^ )
 
Here are my favorite pictures taken on that day.
 
We don't have too many places for good pictures in Lund, so it seems that every time I wear slightly more gothic lolita I end up taking pictures near/with the cathedral. haha
 
 
 
The tree hasn't really bloomed out yet, but it's buds were big and white and pretty anyway. ( ^ ^ )
 
This is my favorite picture! I had to stare directly into the setting sun, which hurt my eyes but made my lenses kind-of glow in an orange-ish color. 
 
I hope it gets warmer soon. Even though it is spring the weather is still cold and the wind even colder. ( >< ) I really long for summer, when I don't have to wear a jacket and freeze anyway.
 
 

Midsummer Nights Dream

I was able to reserve a Midsummer Night Dream JSK from Alice and the pirates almost thre month ago and now I have finally recieved it! ヾ(＠⌒ー⌒＠)ノ I have wanted this dress since the first time I saw it about 4 years ago and I was really happy to hear that they did a re-realize of the print. Good thing I was in Japan when they did it and was able to reserve the dress from attempt number two! It is really, really pretty and I am very very happy. (*^_^*)

Today I matched it with some gothic elements and went for a kind of doll look. Since I just got my new Vivienne Westwood  bag and necklace I just had to wear them too. (^ー゜)


I really like bonnets. I think I need a white one!

Today I went to a cafe with a japanese friend. ( ^  ^ ) It was really nice to meet her and to chat in japanese for a while. I really feel that my japanese leves has gone down since I came back to Sweden and it has only been 3 weeks. ( T___T ) If I don't practice I will forget it all! NOOOO! Luckely since me and my friend agreed to meet and chat once a week, I can practice a bit.
 
I wore casual lolita today. An outfit composed of BABY, Innocent worls, Angelic Pretty, Q-pot and Grimoire. I really love my Grimoire tights! Too bad the other type I wanted was sold out when I went to their shop in Shinjuku.
